Hair loss is typically related to one or more of the following factors:

Family history (heredity). The most common cause of hair loss is a hereditary condition that happens with aging. Medications and supplements. Hair loss can be a side effect of certain drugs, such as those used for cancer, arthritis, depression, heart problems, gout and high blood pressure.

Radiation therapy to the head. The hair may not grow back the same as it was before.

A very stressful event. Many people experience a general thinning of hair several months after a physical or emotional shock. This type of hair loss is temporary.

Hairstyles and treatments. Excessive hairstyling or hairstyles that pull your hair tight, such as pigtails or cornrows, can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia. Hot-oil hair treatments and permanents also can cause hair to fall out. If scarring occurs, hair loss could be permanent.

Here are some important tips that one should stick to before going throughout the hair transplantation process:

Avoid smoking for at least one week before the procedure, as it affects the growth of the follicles and affects the results of the process. Avoid drinking green tea because it is a blood thinner that causes severe bleeding during- and after the operation and leads directly to the failure of the transplantation. Avoid coffee and stimulants in general for at least two days before the transplantation, because they are stimulants that affect the anesthesia process. It is recommended to eat healthy and balanced food before the operation, to avoid any complications occur during or after the operation. Stop taking medications that cause blood thinning, such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen combinations. If you are having certain medications for a particular disease, such as hypertension, diabetes or other diseases, your medical expert who is following your health condition must be aware of and approved of the hair transplantation process.

Here we have a set of tips, which should be followed after the hair transplantation process:

A headband must be worn for 48 hours to avoid the swelling of head. Avoid bending your head as much as possible and keep a parallel line between your chin and the ground for three days, to avoid swelling in the areas of the forehead and around the eyes.

Don’t wash your hair in the first 48h after operation.

You must sleep in a semi-vertical position, relying on two pillows to lift your head for five days, to avoid swelling.

Avoid swimming in the sea for two months and avoid also swimming in a pool for one month.

Stay away from sunlight, heat and high humidity for at least a month and wear a medical hat when you go out.

Be careful when putting on or taking off the clothes, so as not to pressure directly on the scalp.

Avoid smoking for at least two months after the operation because it impedes the growth of follicles leading to their fall.

Use the medical shampoo when washing your hair and don’t rely on chemical shampoo.

Stay away from a Turkish bath or sauna for a month.

Keep on having necessary treatments and medications prescribed by your doctor, which help to heal wounds quickly and to increase the growth of the hair follicles.

Avoid standing directly under rain or dust, as not to cause harm to the follicles implanted.

Avoid intercourse (marital relationship) for a week.

Plasma PRP needles are recommended to be used, as they strengthen the implanted follicles.

It is recommended to undergo cold laser sessions that stimulate blood circulation and thus strengthen the transplanted follicles.

It is also recommended to have some vitamins which will help to enhance the growth of follicles.

The Follicular Unit Extraction is the process of removing hair grafts from the donor area with a special instrument to implanting them afterwards in the bald regions. The FUE technique, which has been applied since 1990 is the most advanced method. The benefits of this technique such as the easy and fast application of hair culture have made it more popular than the older FUT technique. With this technique the grafts are taken with a special device from the donor area and implanted in channels around 0.7/0.8mm using special inserts, these grafts may contain cells of 2 or 3 packs. The number of transplant recipients can be 12,000 removed of 5,000 unit and the root can be taken at the same time without cutting or a skin band.

Manual Punch FUE is one of the hair transplant methods, of the FUE techniques, which will managed manually with the pen-shaped tool, ranging in size between 0.75 mm and 1.35 mm. FUE will be performed with manual punch technique. 3000 grafts can be extracted in one hair transplant session. These extracted grafts are transferred manually to the bald area of the scalp by an experienced doctor.

The advantages of manual punch FUE as follows:

Remain less scar owing to the pen-shaped tool. Allows navigating easily around the follicular unit. Harvest rates of grafts can be faster. Grafts can be harvested without changing their natural structure. This technique is also considered the safest, most accurate method because of it’s low trans section rate.

Sapphire FUE is similar to the original FUE technique, except  the blade that is used in the procedure. In this method, a sapphire blade will be used to open channels on the scalp during the transplantation instead of razor or steel. At the first stage of hair transplantation follicles are extracted and then transplanted into the channels that have been opened with the sapphire blades. Opening the channels is the most important part of the hair transplant procedure because it influences the density, angle and direction of hair growth. Owing to the thin opening of sapphire blades, the grafts can be replaced without contact with the outside.

The most popular method nowadays. This direct Hair Implantation, briefly known as the DHI technique. Individually collected grafts are placed in the planting areas with a special transplant tool, the CHOI PEN, which varies between 0.6mm & 1mm thick. For other methods, the process is performed at two separated steps, unlike in DHI with both extracting and implanting at the same time. Hair must be cut at a certain length and the line should be drown. The grafts are carefully collected with no damage, after determining the optimal angle and directions for transplantation found slits are created in the area to implant in. No holes or cuts are required for this method unlike the previous ones, this process lasts longer comparing to them making it necessary for the patient and doctor, to be more cautious. Also the price is higher due to using multiple tools.

1st stage: The density of the donor area, the area to be implanted and the number of follicles to be picked out is determined. The front line is drawn.

2nd stage:  The patient undergoes the necessary tests and checkups, which are blood tests and some dermatology examinations.

3rd stage:  In this stage, the entire hair is shaved, in case the hair transplantation should be conducted with (FUE) technique.
